I have been looking for a berth for some time now, south coast ,ideally Christchurch/Mudeford , any river location with access to the sea for my 30ft motorboat , Pontoon would be lovely, but a swinging mooring would be fine. Ive checked out some of the authorities with no luck . Could there be a private mooring out there somewhere where some extra income would go down well.

I presume you dont want a drying berth or Strides will find you space.

The waiting lists for river moorings do go up and down a bit. I was originally told 18months for the section I was looking at and got a berth in about 6. Rossiters have some moorings but again long waiting lists.

Yes, the waiting list at Rossiters can be discouraging; but if you join it you may well find that a berth becomes available much more quickly. They give a pessimistic forecast so you won't pester them. Rossiters are sheltered even in a force 8.
Very nice people too.
