Hi,
Here goes with an unusual request. My boat needs a refit (1979 Centaur) which includes the ubiquitous head lining droop, engine service (I'm hopeless mechanically and a mate said might need new Head Gasket....over my head!), windows re-bedding and other bits and pieces. Now, I started my own business 3 years ago and work daft hours, so no chance on the refit - also, erm, cash flow is interesting so can't chuck cash at it.
It occurred to me that there might be some boatless mechanical genius out there who fancies acquiring a share in a nice boat for effort (I will happily be mate on two man tasks) and the cost of the bits. I want to sail with wife and kids -this is at best alternative weekends and very occasional midweek jaunts, so someone out there could get a lot of boat use for some elbow grease and a little bit of cash.
The boats in North Wales (ideally moor at Conwy or if we could get our hands on a mooning then Menai Straits). I'd quite like to meet a new friend (sounds a bit sad, I know) who'd like to do a bit of sailing with me as well, as it might help of we liked each other.
Anyway, worth a go or it will be another season sitting on the beach with the kids wishing I was sailing rather than sailing past the beach waving at the kids and enjoying the peace and quiet!
