Couldn't you bring yourself to do something more ambitious? ;-) Sounds like an adventure; one of my students works as a tourist guide in Svalbard in the summer season and it looks like an amazing place to visit..

You have to include Faroes and down the west coast one way. Been looking at similar trip myself but only as far as the Artic circle (wooden boats don't like ice)
