shagged out

Shagged : having a very rough nap or covered with hanging shags

Out: to state openly and publicly one's homosexuality; "This actor outed last year"

So I guess it a very rough gay boat /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

One where there is something wrong with everything.

hull a bit creaky, bendy stringers or wobbly bulkeads
soggy or flexible decks
engines shot
outdrives on the way out
mouldy and tired furnishings
gelcoat faded & scratched
ancient electrics, esp ancient botched electrics
leaky water system
leaking and corroded windows
stained headlinings
rusty fuel tanks

Most boats of any age have some of the above.
If you have ALL of the above, then it could be time to upgrade...

dv.

One where so much is not fit for its intended purpose ( hull, engines, electrice, rig etc ) that the cost of putting things right would just not be sensible. That does not mean no-one will take sucha project on - just look at the old wooden boats that have been beauuuutifully restored - but in purely economic terms its not worth it.
