My shafts are about 1 1/2 inch

A fraction over 1 1/2 inch
A fraction under 40 mm

I have seen anodes made for 1 1/2 inch and 40 mm

Does it make any difference which I use ?

In the past I have relied upon proffesionals fitting them but they have slipped down.

Could they have fitted the wrong size ?

Do I use the slightly smaller 1 1/2 inch anodes, or the slightly larger 40 mm

Thanks.
I am going away from Mcduff that slipped as they only have two bolts and I am going to try these as they have 4 bolts.

They are more of an egg shape than the Mcduff flat type.

But I am happy to take advice on this, I think the anode is too small to affect performance of water flow ?

They can't be a "fraction over" or a "fraction under" They are either 1 1/2 inch or 40mm with outside chance they might be 38mm but very rare. If it is a UK built boat then odds are 1 1/2 inch.

Thanks, it gives me more confidence to fit the 1 1/2 inch

I have checked with a digital vernier ???( cross between a g clamp and a slide rule) and I could not be certain either way.
