SH CP180 - downloading Track to PC

"£$%^& .... will go on web- hunt again !!!

See what you've done to me !! I'm all fired up on this now !! I know someone who is looking at the SH Plotter ... I may just let him know about this ...

Routes and waypoints have standard NMEA sentences available WPL and RTE, Tracks do not and this is likely where the problem stems from. In my experience I have not come across any manufacturer that outputs tracks, except via their own dedicated methods. Fishermen regularly use tracks for where their gear is, so is very valuable data to them and often ask how to save the data away.

I'm aware about the lack of actual NMEA sentence for tracks ... it's the statement that SH requires proprietary SH gear to save / read it that annoys me !!

Na - it's not proprietary SH gear ... it is standard C-Card stuff - I've found I can get a USB C-Card reader for £80 ... hmm .. think not!

I don't want to use a card to transfer the data, I want to do it via cable ... but SH CP180 plotter (and 300) doesn't have that functionality.
