24hours in RSA isn't much, but it's enough to find that it's lovely and cheap, and that there's lots of nice people, but that it's quite a blimmin serious place to reach - you either came the softies route west across the Indian Ocean, like us, or praps one or two hardass sailors may have blown up on a eastabout route.
November is reputedly a good season for tootling round the cape, so that's what i'm doing in the next couple of weeks.
December we're due a YM qualifier in a single shot - 5800 to st martin in the caribbee. PM if you fancy crewing on a transat over twice the length of the ARC, shared costs, likely about $400 plus you get yerown flites, m/f. Actually i mite cheatily stop in St Helena, if I can get the new 188sqm spi down.
