Hello everyone!

I am little bit in love with the Sessa C35 Sports Coupe, have been looking at the boat on this years boat shows here in Sweden. Currently have a Bavaria 28 Sport and may upgrade in 1 or 2 years. Also looked at the Bavaria 35 Sport HT and like that one too and it´s quite a lot cheaper than the Sessa. But the styling and feeling of quality is one step up on the Sessa. I wonder about if someone have experience from any of these boats and if the overall quality of the Sessa is good or bad? All opinons on both boats are very welcome! Most likely im comparing Sessa with 2xD260 with Bavaria 2XD3 220.

I had a good look at both the Sessa and the Sealine SC35. For me, the Sessa is a great choice for a couple, where the configuration works really well IMHO. The SC35 has more usable space, and is better if more than 2 are involved. The engine spec of the Sessa felt a bit weak compared with the Sealine, D3's v D4's. Similar new prices if speccd to a similar level, ignoring the engines.
However, I have no personal experience of either boat, and eventually went for an older Fly.

MBM did a direct comparison between the sessa and sealine..

Thanks for input! Regarding engines it seems that the Sessa comes only with 2XD4 260 now. There is no D3´s in this years price list
I understand that Sealine is more practical in some ways but i kind of like the overall styling and chioce of finnishes on the Sessa more. I also find the solution with the slidning door to make a fw cabin quite good.
I was looking at both Sealine, Bavaria and Sessa yesterday. Sealine where nice also but had a lot of upgrades like Walnut interior, aboout €120k etc. And we have to wait and see how the Germany built boats will be like. And most important how the long term future of the brand will be.
If i only compare price/quality Bavaria is the winner. At least €500k cheaper loaded with all extras. And with upgraded interior finnish, upholstery, teak or duradeck etc, the feeling of quality is not bad at all.

We have a Bavaria 39 Sport (soft top) and couldnt be more pleased. Interestingly enough the dealer we bought the boat from that we ultimately part exchanged for the Bavaria was also a Sessa dealer and was trying to get us into a Sessa when he heard we were thinking of upsizing. Quality of materials and finish were his principal arguments in favour of the Sessa - similar to your thought processes.

We also looked at a Princess V42 before we took delivery of ours the mid cabin was smaller than ours, but it certainly looked well finished. However, selling points were that all materials were top quality etc again similar to Sessa.

Choice is very much a personal opinion and it could be inflamatory to criticise one brand over another, so all I can say is that with Bavaria you get a lot of boat.... a LOT of boat for your money, and I heard from another forumite that with his previous knowledge of boats, the Bavaria is very well put together. But as a Bavaria owner you know that anyway.

I must say that we looked at Sessas but coming from a cuddy, in our opinion, we felt that it was not disimilar with a V berth arrangement and wanted a noticeable change. However the whole feel was certainly of Italian style, where as the Bavaria is functional and practical - and suits our familys boating needs perfectly

We have now finished the buying process but it was quite enjoyable making the decision. As a Bav owner you may want to stick with the brand, but similar to us you may want to see a noticable change in your next boat.

Good luck with whatever you decide !

Noooo!!!!

The Sealine SC35 or how it is renamed in the last year the 380, features more a direct comparison in size and dimensions with the Sessa C38.
A badge is noting in a boat.
I still look at this video, and keep on wondering who gave the instruction to do it this way.... It is really comparing like oranges and apples.
May be MBM stuff could have looked at the technical data a bit better, since the Sealine is bigger to the Sessa in every part being it length just short of 3 feet longer, beam 2 feet, and height....
I think the only similar thing was the price....

Bavaria gives a lot of boat for the money No doubt about this, there hull shape sea keeping have improved although that was always quite good, the problem remains the construction and fittings department but even here I am hearing not so bad remarks in recent years. Will see if they keep on coming. They are trying to raise the game in both sail and power I think a couple of scales they have gone up....

If you can stretch the budget I would also look at the Sessa C38 wonderful boat and much more complete then the C35 in my book. Also subject to dealer in your area another nice boat is the Atlantis 38.
Still the Sealine SC380 give super value for its accommodation, fittings and over all boating comfort. Its hull is also quite good (Micheal Peters) and is one of the best price to value boat in the market ever conceived in the last years....

I also felt the comparison a little bit strange. The Atlantis is nice but the dealer is on the south coast and i live in Stockholm. Also the dealer is quite new on azimut/atlantis. The Sessa dealer is also quite new and the brand is not very well known in Sweden. The Bavaria dealer have been around for about 20 years and that is a big + for me. They have sold a lot of Bavaria Sport here and the resale value is quite stable. Sessa i dont know really as there are hardly any boats for sale.

It seems that Bavaria is offering a kitchen upgrade package (high gloss finnish and Corian worktops) that would step up the feeling of quality. As for now Bavaria is in the lead in my mind. Price/quality, dealer, future resale value etc.. But Sessa still appeals a lot to me with the italian design, better bathroom and more feeling och space in the saloon thanks to the sliding door solution. Biggest - for Sessa is higher price and lack of fixed sunpad.
