I wonder if anybody can help with a question of servo rudder positioning. I have a Mirage 29 bilge keeler which has a transom hung rudder. How much clearance should I leave between the trailing edge of the rudder and the leading edge of the pendulum rudder? I don't have the experience to know how much the turbulence from the rudder will have on the pendulum.

The servo pendulum steering gear is home made but is obviously inspire by well known makes and is just about ready to be fitted to my boat.

If this works and I get other jobs completed in time (no reason at the moment why I wont) I will be contacting Ewen in the hope of joining the Baltimore challenge in June from Phllheli.

Many thanks

Many thanks Bob

10cm does not seem much so must mean turbulence does not play a big role. I'll read the manual tonight when I get home, but very useful thank you.

Yes, very much hoping to meeting a few people in Baltimore - hopefully meet you there. Just seen depending which end of Gloucestershire you are we're practically neighbours I'm in Herefordshire.

All the best
Graeme
