Hi all,
I am removing and relocating my BARTON winches and would like to give them a good service. They are Single Speed G8 type and very easy to disasemble but my question is:
Do I grease any part or just use diesel on the pawls( a suggestion from an earlier post/thead)
The centre post seems to be a white nylon pillar revolving in a black plastic body.
Unlike Lewmar I can't find any servicing information or Barton grease, again unlike Lewmar, so does this imply that I should not use any at all on any part of the winch. The pawls do have some light rust stains on them but hopefully they will just wipe away with a diesel damped rag.
