Serious Question Chappies!

Can Picafort or San Pedro?

Neither fall into the most desirable category. I would think potential rental would be €7k-€9k pa but the normal rule is that around 35% of that goes to the marina not the owner.

Not really sure on resale value, a major factor is how long is left on the lease.

Sorry I'm have a blonde moment! 4 m width, its Canpicafort marina. I was seriously wondering whether its worth a 'Punt'. Dont want it myself, but maybe one day if we ever get enough time to enjoy the boat in the guaranteed SUN!

Seem to recall that you also have a Targa 37, is your "friend" a very close relation??

Btw how did you get on with the antifoul removal?

Well as a straightforward investment (assuming the owner wants around €60000) I'm not sure the numbers will stack up. The leases in most marinas have around 10-12 years to run at the end of which the lease has no value. (don't know if this is correct for Can picafort) and as I said one third of any rental income goes to the marina.

Add to that the poor £/€ exchange rate and I think you will see there are many better options for your money.

Situation is different if you were thinking of using it yourself of course

I have already explained....................its 12 x 4, and your absolutely right, the Targa 37 wouldnt fit in 3m! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Longjohn, the removal was going well untill we gave up! Flippin heck, 2 weekends accomplished about a 1/3rd of a 1/3rd! /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

The consensus of opinion was to just sand it (DONE) and re-paint it (DONE).

I have some crackin photo's of the before and after of Pipedreams renovations, and was thinking about doing a kind of 'Numpties Guide' to getting your boat to look the biz, for the forum at some time! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

It does look awesome I'm told by the local salty 'Sea Dog' JJ!
Cheers
Jas.
