I am looking for a short section of aluminium from a scrapped Lemar Low Profile Hatch
I need to repair and replace seals in several low profile Lewmar hatches. The Lewmar Video shows this process using a new hatch as a demonstration, but sadly this really does not reflect the real world of hatches that have had salt water over them for the last 20 years, and while several methods of forcing the two halves apart are already discussed here none of them seem to work for me.
I wish to make a simple pair of tools that will perform this process but need a section of the low-profile aluminium extrusion to test my device. Has anyone got an old hatch that is beyond repair? You may have a damaged hatch due to distorting the hatch while attempting to split the two halves.
I will gladly pay. Please let me know what you have.
I will be happy to post pics of the tools when finished and demonstrated to work more effectively than modified sash cramps or other hacks.
Thanks
