I am looking for a short section of aluminium from a scrapped Lemar Low Profile Hatch

I need to repair and replace seals in several low profile Lewmar hatches. The Lewmar Video shows this process using a new hatch as a demonstration, but sadly this really does not reflect the real world of hatches that have had salt water over them for the last 20 years, and while several methods of forcing the two halves apart are already discussed here none of them seem to work for me.

I wish to make a simple pair of tools that will perform this process but need a section of the low-profile aluminium extrusion to test my device. Has anyone got an old hatch that is beyond repair? You may have a damaged hatch due to distorting the hatch while attempting to split the two halves.
I will gladly pay. Please let me know what you have.
I will be happy to post pics of the tools when finished and demonstrated to work more effectively than modified sash cramps or other hacks.
Thanks

Those low profile hatch designs are terrible. I have one on my boat. My friend has a catamaran full of them that leak. The problem is compounded because Lagoon saw in their wisdom to set the hatches flush with the deck level so they were less of a trip hazard. He had a nightmare trying to fit new seals and gave up. I would love to know if your method of separation works as it will undoubtedly be a job for us in the future

it seems your hates might be high profile.

I wonder if the title of your thread discouraged people who might normally offer help

Sorry, but what do you mean by my "hates" please could you explain. I don't think I have ever done anything on any forum to attract any hate. I usually try to contribute to other sailor's solutions. Most interested nin your reply.
