selva 50hp won\'t start

Can anyone please help me sort out a starting problem.
I have an old selva 50hp 700 series about 20yrs old.
The problem is that she only starts on a fully charged battery, first or second push of the starter, not a problem you might think, but after running her up to temperature and switching her off, she refuses to start again. I have checked the condition of the spark which appears to be very weak, although I am told that this is quite normal for a selva, the battery has also been checked and is in cood condition about 73amp hour can anyone shed any light on this matter.
many thanks,
russ.

Re: selva 50hp won\'t start

Sorry, but I believe this is exeptional performance for a Selva motor.

You don't say where you are, but if you're in the south-east, then a word with Andy Clark (www.bosunsmate.co.uk) may be worth your while. he's an honest and decent chap, so much so that he may not want anything to do with a selva motor!

I would check the fuel line, you may have a vacuum bubble caused by heat.
