Not mine (no mobo
)
But a mate has a CI22 he has been muttering about selling for the last year (especially every 1/4 when the marina bill arrives)........but has not got off his backside to sell.
Main sticking point is that although sound enough (and mechanically with invoices to prove) dating from 1980 she ain't a minter and as she don't get much use (a late starter with the boat thing, he lost interest in boats a year or 2 back) will need some pre-sale tidying up / elbow grease. Me mate don't mind doing that. once! but no interest in keeping her that way for 6 months or more given he has lost interest - hence her sitting in the Marina barely used for a year or so.
BTW it's not a credit crunch sale (he's just bought himself a new BMW motorbike for Xmas - £12k, which is only coincidentally about the usual price for a ci22, plus or minus a couple of K), more a case of getting a ballpark sale price (ie not wanting to give her away for £5k, but not wanting top dollar) in a way that requires only a concentrated period of effort (whether in Jan, spring or later)...........just wondering if this method of sale would be attractive / off putting to others?
I am figuring the offer period of a month / 6 weeks, with all bids sealed. But with the backstop of vendor not being bound to accept the highest or any offer. Subject to survey could be part of any offer.
BTW Ebay not so attractive down here in the CI.
