So, you have a RIB for sale.

Reference the Lowestoft RIB company, who have just pleaded guilty, do you now have to know what the buyer is going to do with it?

Is he a drug runner?

Is he going to do 'anything' illegal?

Are you at all concerned?

In that case any yacht that has been used to bring drugs into the country the manufacture is responsible?

Oh NO - I think I opened the door to let him in, had I not done so he may never have seen the RIB - Mea Culpa, I could do with a break......

I think, in this case, there is much more to it. It is claimed they made upto £20m from the sale of ribs to drug runners. I have also read that the person in question claimed they thought they were selling to tobacco smugglers.

I also think the fact they found over a £million in notes hidden under the builders bed showed he knew it was money for dodgy work as he never put it in a bank. Afteral normal market price for one of those Ribs was about £200k and as he knew what they were for and no other bugger would supply to them he charged them double!

End result he was party to the crime and sentenced accordingly! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Here in Gib Fast speedboats and Ribs are illegal to be owned by residents. If in doubt you have to have it licensed! Even some Sunnseekers can not be had (Hawk 48/50). Do not even try to import a Nortech.....
