I am thinking of selling my boat, a Sadler 26, since I want to concentrate on racing and wont have as muh time to use her. However I am reluctant to sell as she is a great boat that I have spent loads of time imporving. Have people had much experience selling shares of their boats, how easy has it been to find buyers and then manage the boat afterwards?

Very difficult, I suspect.

If you have been sole owner, and she is your pride and joy, then to have to share her with someone else would probably all end in tears.

If you desperately want to go off racing, then I suggest you look for another person who will love her, and sell complete.

All IMHO of course

I\'d agree with that...

You'll never be happy sharing the boat with a stranger. Sell it to a new caring owner.

Have you thought of chartering her .. use reputable charter company .. aim to cover costs not make a profit and then you can book yourself a cruising week or so and keep the boat without having wrangles with other share owners..

I suppose chartering is an option, but cant imagine there is a huge demand for 26ft boats.
