Self Changing Gearbox

Hello there !

Problem here with a trawler owner who has trouble sometimes with the engine going into gear. I have only just replaced the driveplate, removed the oil filter from the gear box and all looks well. It is a Crossland filter No. 481, but wondering is it a proper job for flow to / from the box itself. Any ideas - suggestions ? Gearbox type Self Changing Gears Ltd.

Have now rebuilt the gearbox coventry self changing hydraulic gearbox info obtained from G B Marine TEL: 01827718350, fax: 0182780821

Hi Alwyn,

Have contacted Self Changing Gears UK regarding spare parts etc., but have not asked about the oil filter number. Thanks for reminding me as I'm up the walls here at the moment getting a shaft out and trying to figure out a microseizure.
