Self build electrical board

We would like to build an electrical circuit board for our sailing cruiser which will have the switches on and also an image of the boat alongside showing, with LED lights, the state of the various navigation lights, steaming light etc., for an instant indicator of which lights are lit/working. Is anyone aware if there is a firm that makes the base panel (440mm x 220mm) including the image of the boat on the panel or a firm where I could by the appropriate plastic/alluminium material to give a professional look.

Merlin equipment can do custom panels and panels with led indicators for nav anchor lights etc. Also you can send them a line drawing in CAD format to have an outline of your own boat on panel.

There is a PDF brochure you can download. They do standard and custom "mimic" panels. If you have questions, the chap to talk to is Mark Kemsley - very helpful.

Also, if you're going to Soton boat show there was a company there last year that makes fully customised electrical panels to your size and design with properly engraved wording; can't remember the name unfortunately!

They can supply just the panel or the panel loadded with CB's and switches wired or unwired. Used them for my new s/board 18 months ago and very pleased
