I would like to change the furling line on the furlex jib system on my Moody. The line goes into the body of the furling system where I presume it's tied off somewhere but I can't seem to get inside the drum. The furler is some 18 years old and I don't have a hard copy user manual. I have looked on the selden website but can't seem to find the relevant section that may have an online copy of the manual that will show the line replacement process. Can anyone help please with a link to t he right place on the Selden site or some advice on how I get inside the drum to get to the line.

Some models have a plate holding the end of the line.

Before you separate the two halves fully, pass a wire through the hole on the unattached half and tie it off. If you don't, it will fly through the air, bounce on the rim of the inverted umbrella you have tied to the stanchion to catch screws, and disappear into the drink. Ask me how I know.
