Yes good idea but don't think the owner is very clued up on boats,doing some further digging online,I suspect they bought it for 15k in the same state she is in today with a kaput engine/drive, think they lived on it. I still think I could grab a bargain but when you factor in what marinas will charge when she is out of the water to get repaired it may take the shine of it a bit,plus hard trying to convince Mrs Roberts that buying a none working boat is a good thing is proving harder than I first thought lolYou can make an agreement conditional on the result of an analysis of the oils from the engines and drives.
However, this would also give the facts to the seller, so you'd miss the opportunity to buy cheap because he doesn't really know what it's all about.
