Hi
My name is David Palmer, I live in Blackpool,I am a non smoker, 47 years old,I currently hold a Yachtmaster offshore certificate commercially endorsed but unfortunately it is for Motor boats.
I have recently sold my motorboat as I am looking to buy a 40ft+Yacht later this year.
Experience.
I have sailed twice with the Ocean youth in Scotland on the 70ft Oyster as well as there 72ft challenger Yachts helping teach kids to sail, I was made 2nd mate.
I have also sailed quite a number of times with Scot sail training and completed my Day skipper and Coastal skipper course with them. I also delivered a yacht for them from Oban back to Largs Via Northern Island with my own crew and me acting as Skipper. I have logged about 1500 miles now under sail and want to build more mileage up as well as experience before I sit my Yachtmaster exam under sail.
I did not do much sailing last year as I would have liked as I was to involved with my business and using my own boat. Now that I have sold my boat I would like to do a lot more sailing to build up on my experience,please send a PM if I can assist with any passages,if you require any references then I could get one from Scot sail or I'm sure if you sent them a email to the sailing school principal at scotsail.net at Largs I'm sure he would vouch for me. As I work for myself my time can be quite flexible.
