Hello,

I'm looking for a 35+ft catamaran to film in the UK as part of a documentary drama reconstruction called True Heroes. In 2004, a gentleman rescued 6-7 passengers on a capsised catamaran in a fluke accident, and we would like to re-tell his story. We are looking for a catamaran, similar in size and build to the Conser 47 - tho by no means identical. The name/make of the boat is not relevant to the story, and would not be identifiable during filming. The capsising will be shown using computer graphics, and we are looking soley to film a catamaran out at sea to set up the story.

Please get in contact if you think you can help with this request.

Kind regards

Charlotte Green

There's a hoary ould jourrrrnalist wot lurks on 'ere from time to time, name of James Jermain.

Extchewally, he's in indentured service to IPC Media, but you could do a search on here for him, then PM him.

I'm absolutely certain that - if he so chooses - he could be the answer to a maiden's prayer ( sic! )

If he declines, I know the owner of another appropriate catamaran who would be most pleased to help out. In that event, send me a Personal Message ( see options at head of this ) with a contact number/email, and I'll get you a resolution PDQ.

G'teed....

Not to be published on here I should think /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Last time I got asked they wanted it for nothing, they thought I would do it just to see my boat on TV! Fat chance.

I think the point I was making was that they would hardly tell all and sundry on here, if, or what they were paying, afterall she did provide a contact email addy and a phone number :-)

Mind you, what you said, doesn't surprise me, TV people do sometimes have somewhat exagerated view of their own importance, and of their medias importance also! If I watch an hour a week, it would be a minor miracle, most of it is utter rubbish!

I prefer to get my news from the wireless.............that's right, I said wireless! Newspapers and TV have dumbed down so far that they are below .................well, I think you get me drift?

'Ere! how far off topic is one allowed to go on this forum? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
