Seeing as this subject comes up a fair bit this time of year I tought you'd be a bit interested. I purchased a polisher from www.silverlinetools.com
The polisher is a nice bit of kit. 1300w motor and variable speed between 1000rpm to 3000 rpm. 180mm backing pad and comes omplete with lambswool bonnet. 3 year gaurantee to boot.

Made short order of the car and polishing the boat is not the chore it used to be. Comfortable to use as its akin to and anglegrinder. Cost was a reasonable 34 quid plus Vat. Silverline also do all the polishing mops ect at reasonable costs too. Well worth a look.

Sorry, I am definitely going to get the self branded one from B&Q, anything thats good enough for Ellen is good enough for me, surely you have seen the ad where she's using her B&Q tools on her way around the world!! Made in China, down to a price and when its recalled you get a new one!! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
