I've a Bene 373 , 2004 . Some of the floor boards are slightly warped and give an annoying Squeak when walked on. I've tried shimming with various materials but haven't completely fixed the problem. I'm thinking about some sort of quick release screw fittings to lock down the boards.
Beneath the boards is a moulded Fiberglass frame structure that I believe is bonded to the hull to create a rigid structure.
My Question is -
Is it safe to drill into the top or close to the top of this frame in order to mount some fittings for the floor boards to be locked into?
Is there likely to be wiring in the frame or any other reason not to drill?
I don't see any part of the frame already drilled except for some holes very close to the hull which I presume are to allow bilge water run down towards the Keel.
