secondhand Raymarine pathfinder 18kW raydome ? - where ?

I have just aquired a secondhand Raymarine Pathfinder Plus RL70 flat screen radar monitor.

I've tried Raymarine but they say I need the older raydome not produced anymore. And of course they can sell me a re-conditioned screen or anything else for that matter but they don't do re-con. scanners. The chap I spoke to had no idea where I could source one either.

There must be some people upgrading their equipment, where does all the old stuff go?

I've posted in the wanted forum here and elsewhere but not a whisper so far. I have been watching e-bay and boatsandoutboards with no luck, anyone have any idea where else I should look ?

Just a hint or a piece of help.

I have an older radome and may be considering upgrading, but not entirely sure yet as I am still sorting out the nature of teh upgrade. However, I am in contact with Raymarine about the various components required as intergrating old and new requires odd wires and connections etc.

Anyway my point is, that the model number that you require may or may not work on your system, as the model number did not change but the internal mechanism did. So if you do find one, contact raymarine with the serial number first so that they can confirm that the serial number matches your sytem, not just the model number.

Thanks for that but compatibility is dependent on the software of the screen and mine has the older software.
I've already exchanged serial and part no's with Raymarine

I've already been in touch with Raymarine and have found them extremely helpful re. compatability of equipment etc....hence my post.
