I have just bought a spare Raymarine C140w and fitted it at the chart table (I have another at the wheel). My instruments are ST60s... with the 3 point Seatalk network daisy chain arrangement. I have connected the new plotter into it and it all works fine.
I would like the plotter to show my log reading from the speed ST60 in the cockpit but it doesn't. Either the log reading isn't part of the sea talk data set or I haven't set something up correctly .
I have checked the other C140W upstairs and it won't show it either. This makes me think it isn't something I have done wrong.
I have tried our friend AI but he isn't answering. Help!

I'd suspect the log isn't connected to the other Seatalk instruments, easy enough to do.

Thanks Paul
I will check. Should there be an in and an out connection on the back of each instrument or does the one at the end of the chain just have one connection wire? Its been ages (10 years)since I had to do anything behind there.

Seatalk can be daisy chained from one instrument to another, for those with 2 ports. They can also be connected together in a junction box, where you connect the yellows together, reds together and the bare wires together.
