4 May 2006 #2 britemp Well-Known Member Joined 8 Sep 2003 Messages 1,442 Location Leaving EU 35 years too late Visit site I believe the reason for the rescue was because the crew was entirely recruited from Muppetland! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I was surprised at the end when they stuck the sunseeker on a trailer and towed it away - looked much more than 3500kg all up!

Having drunk all his beer and run out of fuel he just started drifting down channel. Next stop ...RNLI; what a dummy!! The boat was in Weymouth harbour for a few days before being recovered I believe. Interesting with the Sunseeker though, they said the VHF wasn't working and had lost electrics, so why were the nav lights on???
