Anything with hyoscine in is fine, if you like your mouth being as dry as nuns cr####. It reduces gastric secretions, but it doesn't stop you feeling sick. (It can induce urinary retention, nice!)

Dramamine is effective, it is widely used in the U.S and can be bought over the counter. You can get it on prescription here under the drug name Dimenhydrinate. Dramamine is supposed to interfere with the brains messages to the stomach to vomit. It works for me.

Re: Seasickness

I'm not usually affected - the odd occasion I feel queasy, I deal with it by drinking a fizzy drink. I SWMBO is not looking - a beer does the trick quite nicely.

It rarely rains for longer than four hours........

How many coppers do you know that have robbed banks?

I specialise in communications and information technology whilst some of my watch have more years at sea than I have on dry land. In the end we all have information which the others don't. As a team we have a vast pool of knowledge which enables us to deliver a very broad and professional service.

Or so I keep telling myself.

Safer lives, safer ships, cleaner seas.
