I have decided to buy a searchlight to mount on my wheelhouse roof. Several of the ones I have looked at have a miniature joystick that controls the movement of the light from inside. In the past I have either used handheld searchlights or the type that have a handle comming throught the deckhead to aim them with.
My question is how do the joystick ones compare with the handle type ones? Have people found them to be as good? I would probably have gone for the handle type but space is limited so I am considering the joystick option.
