Searching for RMAS Instow

Anyone able to help or seen her on your travels??? Ex RMAS Fleet Diving Tender "Instow" pennent number A309, last known to be at Babcocks in Rosyth but recently sold on. Would really appreciate any info.

I have a feeling that she may be in Preston Dock. When I was in Preston last summer I feel that I saw a fairly similar vessel, but cannot swear it was Instow.

Presently on board a drilling rig off Angola, so it will be a few weeks before I can take a look and verify it.

Thanks Chris, would be interested to know if it is, although I'm pretty sure that she was either in, or on the way to, Rosyth at that time, previous to that I think she was in Kyle of Lochalsh. Any other sightings out there??

Certain that I saw INSTOW anchored in Alum Bay about June 03. Has been repainted black/dark blue. As a ex-matelot reccognised the type of vessel immediately.

Thanks Dave, would be good if she is on the south coast as so am I, however not sure that the beggining of June would fit, pretty sure that she was sold from Rosyth around the beggining of July, and after being laid-up there for a while would probably have required a bit of work.

Still it's possible and the help is appreciated, if you have any more sitings let me know, even better if you have a camera with you.

I've got a bit of history with her so am keen to track down the new owners, had considered buying her myself but she was sold while I was on Honeymoon, so I paid for my indecision before I left!
