I am buying a 1999 Searay 33 Sundancer with the v-drive engines. I need to cruise it a couple hundred miles to get it home. Can anyone tell me from experience at what speed she cruises, at what RPM, and how many gallons of fuel per hour is used at cruising speed?

Thanks.

I dont know this boat at all, but if it has petrol engines, you will use about 350 to 400ml per horsepower per hour. If you hae a diesel, you will use about 165 tp 200ml per horsepower per hour.

A displacement hull might use 15 Hp at 4 knots and 80hp at 8 knots.

If you are not sure of the range, go slower and if you still not sure, take more fuel.

Simple as a pimple.

So, in this case: 400mlx330hpx2=264litres=~56imp gal/hr???
That's not even true at WOT or is my arifmetik faulty?
I have a slightly bigger SeaRay with petrols (2x330hp) and the specs say 32US gph(26imp gal) at 3250 rpm or 20.5kt, which is about what I get. At 3800rpm/26kt, this rises to only 37imp gph.
I wld estimate on 1.5imp gal/mile to be on the safe side.
