To all of those that entered my competetition and/or are interested to know that my temporary (basic) website is now up and running.

I am also showing a few paintings at the London Boat Show.

If you would like to come and 'sea my paintings' I will be happy to see you but I will need to personally show them to you because I am based in the BMF Members and exhibitors lounge (next to the RYA Lounge) so, please give me a call first, you can do that by getting my number from the website seapaintings.co.uk or pick up one of my arty bookmarks that I have left on the YBW stand at the show.

Thank you Richard /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif.

Thank you /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I have learnt to use acrylics because I wanted to paint on my boat, however, I prefer the look of oils so am going to experiment using oils for the top layers when I get them back to the studio.

Hi Mari.
Your paintings are excelent in the since that they brilliantly convey the mood of the subject, but as some of the other forumites have said, some diversities like rocks, cliffs, boats, light houses etc would give some more since of dimension to them, and attract a wider potential market.
Please dont take this as a criticism, as I am not an expert on arts but know what I would and would not buy in a sea scape painting, and I am sure other sea/boat loving folk would concur.
Well done, C_W.

Thanks to all for your lovely comments /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I have several paintings near completion, all have lots of boats in them and most have recognisable landmarks In them.

When the boat show is finished I will be able to put some more paintings in the Gallery.

Mari
