I would be very grateful to receive opinions on the various qualities or otherwise on the above yacht. Are there any particular faults that have arisen commonly over the years. How is its sailing performance.

Hi, as a very happy Seamaster 925 owner, I think it is a brilliant design.

Does pretty much everything very well, except motoring backwards for which you need to build up a bit of momentum before she'll obey the tiller. Sails well on all headings, on a run sometimes easier to take down the main and just have the genoa - it's the larger sail anyhow so produces most of the power..

A lot of interior space for the length and age. The side decks are integral to the hull so she's very stiff and you don't get any leaks at the hull/topside join. I really cannot think of a fault. Maybe that some have 7 berths and I think you would have to be incredibly good friends to share with 6 others. Mine is fitted out with 5 berths and that would be crowded if all were occupied.
