I used to own a Project 31 which was similar to RLM and Princess and this boat would just fail to get under Osney Bridge,(she had the scars to prove it!!)
There are, however, several versions of wheelhouse on these boats with some higher than others, there are also some with collapsable windscreens - this latter also refers to Seamaster 30.
Good hunting.
Hi,
I think the RLM is the same as the Project 31, Air draft was 9'6" if I remember correctly. The Princess is based on the same hull but a different superstructure mouldingwhich added 6" or soi to the air draft. Sorry, cant help with the Seamaster though.
Happy hunting,
Eddie
ATB
I AM ON THE TRENT AS WELL AT SAWLEY
THE AIR DRAFT OF A PRINCESS 32 IS 8FT 4 INCH WE HAVE ONE AT THE CLUB & IT GOES UNDER THE BRIDGES IN NOTTINGHAM ON THE CANAL MAX AIR DRAFT IS 8 FT 6 ON THE CUT THE RLM IS THE SAME OR A BIT LESS BUT THE SEAMASTER IS ABOUT 8 FT 9 I THINK
HAPPY MEASURING !!!
I AM EXPERT AT IT NOW
I’m the Guy who drags his wife and kid around Sawley and Shardlow drooling over the Cruisers! According to MBM April 2000 the Storebro Baltic is 7ft 5in air draft which surprised me but, a little expensive for me! Perhaps I am being a little optimistic hoping the government will open the waterways up to wide beam craft at the Leicester section of GU (MBM FEB 2001 page 12) according to that article an air draft of 7ft 10in is the Max.
I think thats probally about right for the soft top version of the storboro . They have quite a few on the Ouse in Cambridge because of air draft problems.
atb if you need any other info on stuff post me directly if you want
