Seals at a reasonable price

I've just priced up a set of seals for my Separ water separators that comprises of two seals around 80mm and two around 20mm. £40 delivered, unbelievable, even though a part for a boat.

I was going to try somewhere like Pirtek, anyone got any other ideas where I could source them?

If these are O Ring seal then measure either ID or OD and cross sectional diameter. Then look them up on and O ring chart. They are normally grouped by Csect dia. For the material Nitrile would be fine.

Buy them from your nearest bearing supplier.

Metric tend to be empiric mm measurements, whereas imperial use some odd sizes 2.62; 3.53; 5.3 are the commonest.

If rotary (lip) seals, loads on Ebay or your local bearing shop.
Check if imperial or metric and get stainless gaiter sprung ones.
I refurbed a Jabsco raw water pump for £2.00!
