Hi

I'm looking for a Davits solution for an S34.

I've tried weaver snap Davits - but the swim platform is too high for them to work properly (by which I mean they are too high for me to stand in the tender and lift the outboard aboard whilst still attached to Davits)

Next I looked at Hurley Davits, but having given the measurements to the dealers they tell me the height is too high for H20 and too narrow for H30 (or maybe that was the other way round)

What other solutions have people used ? Could i get them custom built?

I'm looking for something similar for the SC35.

This might work, but there are bits-sticking-out for swimmers to impale themselves on:

After trying out a few options - and a great deal of patience and support from Bryan @ www.inflatableboatsupplies.co.uk (no vested interest, just very impressed with the service) - i bought these. Nothing else quite worked, but these seem to like they will do the job. Davits fitted to boat. Pads on dinghy on Monday - full sea trial at the weekend

Good result but why not consider attaching the rope to the radar arch or light mast so you don't garrotte yourself and can move freely to disembark the bathing platform. When you are cruising then you will need to strap tight in to stop the tender flapping around. Worked really well on my targa 34.
