Sealing plastic window to canvas

Our spray hood ( or more accuratly) the rear cover at the back of our 'wheelhouse' has a large plastic window. The rain runs down this then behind the seam and drips through.
I guess that I can put some sort of glue/sealant betwean the canvas and the plastic?
Is there a recommended product to use?

Doesn't sound if its been made correctly in the first place. Top of plastic should be inside the fabric, then pass through a slit in the sides so that bottom is on the outside. Having fitted new plastic 'windows' to my sprayhood it should be an easy enough job to resew. I used double sided tape to hold the materials together while sewing so this probably acts as a sealant as well.

Yes that sounds sensible!! I had wondered about the logic and assumed that the plastic may get damaged if it was on the outside.

Most window panels are fitted to the inside of the cover,when sewn.
Clever sliting on the lower edge can change the shedding to the out side.
Welded windows don't have the problem .
.A stitch sealing product called Storm seal available from camping shops will stop the dribbles.

Thanks Cindy, always good to get expert opinion. I have seen seam sealing stuff but in this case thought that the amount of water being channelled into the seam would be excessive and, in any case its not just getting through the needle holes but running betwean the canvas and the plastic.
In my case extending the window by just 2 inches would have ensured the drips went outside the cockpit, so bad design all round?!
