This may be useful if you have a Sealine problem, Colin has set up a website, he used to be engineering manager so knows all the ins and out of the boats, you can get him on www.sealinesupport.co.uk.

It appears this Friday is D day for the sale of the firm, we have to wait and see.

Good stuff and good luck to all concerend. One tiny point: I'm wondering though if the telephone number they give is correct. + 44 (0) 7779 214 4445 looks like it has one digit too many. I may be wrong and will happily delete this if it turns out the number is ok

cORRECT NUMBER SHOWN ELSEWHERE IN THE WEBSITE +44 (0) 7779 214 4445

Good luck to all the staff and suppliers of Sealine, would be a real shame if the brand did not survive but an even bigger shame if we loose the skill's of the craftsmen & women who build these boats.

I think the correct number for Sealine Support Services Ltd is: 07779 214445 from the Uk. +44 7779 214445 from outside the UK.

As with other posters I wish the guys all the best and hope this proves a valuable asset to existing Sealine owners.

Henry :)

Here's hoping it's good news for the employees and staff as well. Not sure there are too many other boat building vacancies in the Kidderminster area

Most of the workforce will have transferable skills to other Midlands based manufactoring eg Jag/ Landrover .
Some will end up at the other" big3 " ones with niche skills .These will have to " get on there bike" so to speak - relocate .
Or depending on the wind up arrangements - if a phoenix Co emerges stay put .But only a fraction of the closing down number .
One possibility springs to my mind is to set up a moulding Co just concentrating on that aspect ,making smaller road transportable bits of boats out of GRP for the others eg bath platforms, radar arches , fly helms etc or complete Hulls ?
Lorry cabs, motor home GRP bits -stuff like that ?
Anyhow best of luck to them all
