Hi!

Looking at a Sealine T52 with extra fuel tanks in the lazarette instead of a crewcabin, but the size of the tanks isnt really clear to anyone involved - The only figure given about the extra tank capacity is that it gives 1000 nm range, but not at what speed so I'm trying to figure out if there is a 'standard' size of the extra fuel tanks fitted.

Dont have access to the boat right now, so cant measure them :-(

Either way I would think you would need a massive auxiliary tank to get anywhere need 1000 Nm range at anything other than a crawl. I think the standard tanks are about 2000 litres which would probably give a safe range of 300 miles at cruising speeds around 22 kts?

Standard tanks on a T52 are 2x 1022 litres.
I'm fairly certain that the "extra" tanks weren't a factory option ... most probably an owner addition.

They look as they are factory fitted, but ofcourse it can be a custom option added. They are, after measurement from broker, stated at approx 300 liters each, which makes you wonder why someone bothers to fit extra tanks if it only gives 600 liters more which I guess is about 30% additional fuel.
