Hi, I wondered if anyone out there who owns a Sealine T46 with a 200kg Cooney Passerell has had an upgrade to allow it to lift an Avon 320 Seasport (210kg Dry) and if they have had any issues with the boat as a consequence. I'm looking to buy a jet rib to replace my rib and outboard so that we can comfortably pull water toys in the summer. Anyone got similar experieces, your thoughts and advice would be appreciated.

I reckon a call to cooney might be a better bet, but you never know on here, welcome by the way!

Can't help with your specific question but:

210kg is the dry weight of the handlebar version. If you want the dl version with steering wheel and more goodies it is 240kg I think dry weight

These boats are on substantial back order, you need to order soon.

We have just bort a 320dl, was delivered to Chichester last week. It will be there 2-3 weeks. You can examine/measure if you need.

I have CAD drawings of the 320dl supplied by Avon. It is dimensioned, shows centre of gravity, and gives the profile to cut chocks. I can email if you gimme an address -it is readable in MS Word

Many thanks, I was looking at the lighter 320 (handlebar version). Before investing in this piece of kit I thought I'd ask around for peoples experiences, especially as it looks like I'm facing the costs of upgrading my passarell. My email address is Headoftoys@aol.com. What boat are you putting the RIB on and with what size lift?

Replied to your PM, if the Avons on long back order and you've got to do the passerelle anyway have a look at the Zodiac range, now part of Avon and same engine etc. and I know they've ordered a few in at Poole Marine Services as they supply Sunseeker next door with loads of them so always keep stocks. Just thought I'd mention it. Paul

Cheers. I've got the chance of an Avon for March/April delivery which is fine for the start of the season. The Zodiac also looks interesting though. Why did you choose the Zodiac and why is it so much heavier than the Avon? Rob

OK I'll email the dwg tomorrow - it's on my work pc. We're putting it on a Sq58, passerelle is rated 350kg so it's easy

We looked at the zodiac but prefered Avon. Same engine. Zodiac 350 is bigger and frankly I'd think it's too big for T46. The Avon has a more luxury fit out, and faster because lighter/smaller with same engine
