Sealine swim ladder screws

I’ll post this on the Sealine forum as well but there may be a standard construction method.
You can just see that the rhs bracket has become unwelded so needs to be taken off.
My question is what are the screws screwed into? I can imagine hearing the rattle of a retaining nut, never to be located again.

Right about Sika but just had a reply on the Sealine forum and it’s a 2 man job with one on the
inside laying on the engine and undoing at arms length while the other holds the pan head bolt from the outside.

At least you'll be able to undo it - my boarding ladder is just screwed into the grp, which is about 1/2" thick. When I first spotted this I decided it would be better if there was a nut on the inside so bought suitable longer screws and nuts. But when I tried unscrewing them it was impossible! So left them as they had obviously been fitted a long time ago. There were 8 x M10 Hex Head Screws.
