The upper helm boss is leaking oil. Started yesterday, is leaking rapidly now.

It's the pressurised type of system that you keep up to pressure with a bike pump on the reservoir , which has a guage on it.

Any tips for repair or replacement? Any idea of a supplier?

TIA

Get a seal kit from Hypro marine in Lymington, quite an easy job to fit.

Never heard of Hypro Marine before. What an incredibly good company. I explained the problem to the switchboard who put me onto a proper engineer. He patiently explained everything and asked me for some photos. They were duly emailed, he called me back having made the diagnosis and promised to put the correct £38 kit in the post today. He is also digging out his refurb instructions to send to me.

Top advice - thank you.

And Trev thank you too learned stuff from that thread which I hadn't seen.
