I am looking to buy a Sealine Senator 240, and would like to seek a trial with one of these boats to assess the ride comfort and performance, particularly with the 205hp and 225hp petrol engine and duo prop leg. I am based in Portsmouth and would be grateful if a Solent-based owner would be willing to give myself plus one a chance to experience this boat at speed and in the Solent chop. We would contribute towards running costs for this exercise, and I am RYA Day Skipper and Power Boat Level 2 qualified.
Many thanks. Regards Mark Keohane

Go to Sealine at Swanwick and ask them to take you for a spin, they were quite willing to take me out on an F37. You just have to convince them that you are serious. As you allready have a Sealine that shouldn't be too difficult.

Thanks Moose, I didn't realise Sealine were that willing. Sea trials normally require some commitment from the punter and I figured a willing owner would be an easier option for a trial. I'll give Sealine a call. Rgds MK

I had a 240 for nearly 5 years. Great boat, towed it for thousands of miles around the Med. Very tough, bit of a sod to berth stern to in a cross wind but that goes for any single prop. Again the same for any boat that size but uncomfortable in a f4 when you have to come off the plane.
Part exchanged it with Sealine for the S37.
I really can't think of any problems to watch out for.
good choice ... have fun
