Could anyone let me have, or could advise me where to find out, the original specification of the propellers that were fitted to my 1996 Sealine 330 Statesman fitted with Mercruiser 3.6D 180hp diesel engines and Bravo 2 outdrives?

I am told by Sealine they are Mercruiser 48-18616A40 and 48-18617A40 17.75 x 21. but they did not seem overly confident.

I am really worried about this decision because I am not at all sure the propellers currently fitted are the correct ones if I took the serial numbers from them.

Hi

I have to ask why you need the spec of the props, there is a reason why I ask. If your props are reaching the correct RPM at WOT then you have the right pitch, if over-reving then they are too fine a pitch or worn, eg edges rounded off due to going a bit shallow!. I expect you already know this but if they are close to being the right ones then go by the numbers on them. Of course it could be that the number on them has changed since they were fitted if they are the originals. If you cannot determine the numbers then a decent prop shop have the kit to tell you the pitch.

Why do you say that Sealine were not quite sure? When I have spoken to them they were always correct about prop sizes

I hope this sort of makes sense.

Sorry, and yes it does make sense.
The reason I am suspicious is that she never has made the revs since I got her.
I have spent hours on the engines and I am as sure as I can be now, they are working but the max output is still only 3100RPM underway.
The engineer told me when he had serviced her that the current props are badly pitted and needed changing. Unfortunately he did not note the numbers - but that's another story!
From what I have found with the boat, the last owner (in Spain), was not opposed to saving money by wrong component usage and that is why I am being so paranoid.
I was reasonably comfortable with the Sealine spec until someone posted on the Sealine forum that their F33 (Same boat different year) on bravo 2's had 17.25" x 25" which is very different from Sealines spec of 17.75 x 21.

i have the above size listed for the F33 with 2.8l 150hp - not seen one with 3.6d
