Does anyone know where you can buy the bulbs used by sealine (12v 10w tiny bulb with 2 metal prongs). Anywhere online or are they a common item that can be brought at any swindlery?

Do you find them a little harsh? I converted my home kitchen cabinet lights to LED's and my wife haded the harshness, so I converted back again to halogens (Great way to spend a weekend!!) /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

We found the halogens too bright, 6 above the forward V berth & 2 over the Galley, the 6 are switched together so we would get 60w of halogen lighting, nearly burns your head if left on for too long & you can see the battery charger step up the voltage to compensate when there on.

The 2 over the galley are fine but while I was changeing the others I thought I might get the full set done.

We have another 2 in the aft berth & 2 in the heads.

For some reason SWMBO insists on turning all 12 on when getting ready to go out!

Our intended usage means for some of the time we are away from shorepower for upto 6 days, the last thing I want to do is find the engines wont start.
We have the crossover & might take one of those suitcase generators but I liked the idea of conserving what we have untill the use of a genie is absolutely necessary.

The one's I posted a link to are Warm white & have an incandescent glow rather than the blue light caracteristics of some of the harsher ones Iv'e seen.

With 12 onboard, if they are all on at once they draw 18w instead of 120w for the halogens, should keep the batteries happy & leave more power to run the fridge. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
