Have had to sit in my office yesterday afternoon and all today and doubtless tomorrow as well looking at a new Sealine F46 fitted with Zeus propulsion. She handles beautifully around the berths and is manouvering in and out of a fairly tight berth, quite impressive.
But, and its a big but, whilst i know that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, she is so ugly! The designer must have tripped over his guide dog when drawing up this one.

Indeed beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Mind you I remember Sealine getting shunned when they started introducing rounded edges on the superstructure, and of course they were slated for the famous dolphin nose which was an attempt to hide the anchor, didnt stop em selling lots though.

And of course we all remember the replacement for the ford cortina the sierra, lots thought it ugly and said things like "jelly mould", however it did change the shape of cars, subsequent ones being more akin to the sierra than the cortina methinks.

So I reckon it'll grow on you

We had one here in Torbay a couple of weeks back. Doing the Sealine promo thing..
Inside the breakwater it looked a doddle to handle with those drives, and outside, with an easterly F5-6, the party trick was obviously the fast turns between waves, but heading into them, looked pretty wet - spray over flybridge stuff. Must admit I wouldn't go out in that sort of weather and he was demoing to the few that were interested.

A closer look made me wonder what the cockpit would be like with all that sea channelled down the side walkways straight into the cockpit - but hey - I guess most buyers would be like me and not venture out into that sort of weather anyway...

As mentioned, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Mrs benjenbav thinks the F46 looks "quite nice for a flybridge" which is high praise indeed for the team from Kidderminster, which is - incidentally - where I lived as a boy. I actually had a part-time job in a chandlery which is on the site of where the Sealine factory is now (Sealine weren't there at the time).
