Does anyone have any idea where Sealine usually locate the holdings tanks on their boats, specifically in this case on an F43? There is a metal square tank under the aft berth, but the pipes into/out of this didn't look big enough for a holding tank - we thought perhaps this was the fresh water tank. There was nothing to be seen under the front berth except access to the bow thruster. The specs. say there should be both a grey and a black water tank, totalling over 400 litres, but do you think we can find them? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gifThanks for any replies.

Drawings would be great ..... the forward shower outlet looks like it fed into a plastic square-ish box and then out through the hull, so not sure that a proper 'tank' is actually present. Didn't lift the floor of the dinette - I think the table was bolted to it, but can get someone to photograph it if I know where to get them to poke the lens!

Thanks for the responses.....

I was wondering the same thing, I have a tank between the galley and the dinette, so I guess this is the holding tank?
Nick, if a drawing is available could I have a copy too please.

The easiest way of finding out what's in the tank would be to pull off one of the connections, poke your finger in the tank and give it a lick. I'm fairly sure you'll be able to tell. Water tastes, well sort of very watery. Your holding tank will have an all together different taste to it. Probably a bit like chicken.

Hope that helps.

Any other technical info don't hesitate to ask.

I'm sure SteveE will comment, but I think on his F43 there are two black tanks - one under the aft bed for the aft cabin heads and one under the galley/dinette sole for the forward heads. But if in doubt, Henry's approach sounds like the answer. Although I'm not 100% convinced it will taste like chicken.

Ah, there was a metal tank under the aft berth, although I'm sure it would have been above the height of the base of the aft heads (if that makes sense) i.e. the pump wouldn't have had much help from gravity! It did look like the forward heads went straight to a through-hull fitting. If anyone has piccies/drawings/confirmation of the arrangement I'd be very grateful.

Thanks again for the posters who have replied.
