Just looked over an F43 and SWMBO noticed that there was no gas cooker. It has one of those new fandangled microwave thingies.

What do you use to warm that ready meals without getting irradiated?

Also, Anyone else on here got an F43?

Fairly certain the cooker was an option.

Never owned an F43, but have always liked the layout - so long as you're not too tall!

Won't have gas on board.

We have a two burner electric hob and combi microwave oven/steamer that does everything we need to do. In fact I don't think there is anything cook at home that we can't do on board.

We have on board our Trader a microwave/steamer/convection oven/grill and a ceramic hob.

I have produced meals for a dozen people with this combination without any problems.

Don't let it put you off.

Yes - we have one with the same convection/microwave/grill combination thing!!

It's pretty good. Some comments from t'other half: "You need to think about how you prepare meals because of the space limitations but it works fine. The grill is excellent. Haven't tried baking or doing a full roast. But generally more than happy with it despite initial reservations."

And the other plus point is ... no gas onboard!

I don't have a problem with gas on board, much more preferable than a noisy genny destroying the peace and quiet; if not for you then for all the other people nearby!

Never quite understood why having been running 2 engines all day charging a big bank of batteries, it should be necessary to disturb the peace all evening too by starting a genny!

Gas works well, diesel works well, why would anyone use anything else?

Cos its really hard to run your flat screen telly and hair straighteners on 12v /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Telly's no problem, either direct or via an inverter. And since when did you need hair straighteners, Jez?

Don't tar everyone with the same brush! Some of us are extremely considerate of our neighbours - much more than we get in return in most cases!

Make sure the micro is a real combi job. Many installed did not have the standard fan oven option which makes for a great situation since you have the choice of all three methods and combinations thereof.

Grill+micro is NOT the same and not a lot of good for real cooking.
