Hi
I'm considering buying a sealine f33 and have found two I'm interest in
Both built in 1999 and both with similar run hours and price tag
One has kad 33/dp's 170hp and the other has aqad41/pd's 200 hp
I've read several reports suggesting the kad 33 produce more than their stated 170hp but have found very little info on the Aqa d41's

So if anyone can help it would be much appreciated .

Thanks

The main difference between these is that the 41s are a six cylinder engine, the 32s are a four, so guess there'll be a lot more weight in the back of the boat with the 41s.

I had a boat years ago with AQAD 41 engines and they were very unstressed smooth engines.

I think (and stand to be corrected) that the later KAD 42/44/300 are basically the same motor, so clearly well within its limits at 200hp.

Recently helped a friend source an F33. The 41s are a preferred option but this severely limits your choice of boats as most had kad32s.
He eventually bought a very nice 2001 Kad32 model which performs more than adequately though they are a little noisier and more stressed than the same boat with 41s.
Whatever you do dont buy an AD31 example.

The ad 41 boat will be smoother getting on the plane, quieter as no supercharger noise, more reliable and cheaper to service overall as it has less belts, downside is that the motors are closer to the bulkhead giving less room to service them, but still a well built engine bay.

Our s34 had kad32's. And unless the boat was light and the hull clean i never felt she was able to get into her stride... In reality the 32's are underpowered... I would definetly go with the 41's. The hull can take more power and deliver a better ride.

6cyl tourque monsters just ticking over rather than 4cyl supercharged motors running harder has to be the best option in my eyes and the 41 is easy as to service with out the worry of superchargers/ clutch pulleys going wrong.

Just my 2p worth

I have a couple of friends with 330/F33's. The 330 has AD41's which are much smoother and delivery plenty of power to get on the plane. The F33 with KAD32's takes longer to get over the hump but still planes well. The 4cyl lumps are not so smooth thought, but access around them is much easier.

Personally, the AD41's would be my choice.
