Sealine and landrover

Has there been any positive news to a buyer or the continuation of build or has sealine died for good, I hope not as I'm just catching up on mag reading from last issues of mbm and mby which looked optimistic re sealine.
I had to chuckle about the motor yacht show text when they mentioned that sealine were invited but declined the offer. I bet they did as they knew the writing was already on the wall way before they were asked. A real shame .

I am also lead to believe that the 31st is the deadline. It's quite funny though, there are some people on here who are wishing Sealine well but have hardly been supporters of the brand over the past (both distant AND recent).

I for one truly do wish them all the best and I'm have nothing gain or lose by saying so!

Were are currently buying our sealine and doing my final viewing next Monday before signing up to complete contract, so I really hope they continue.

Of course as a boater i hope that Sealine survives and i wish them well. I hope they get fresh money from a new owner instead of disapearing from the market.
But on the other hand i cannot say that i am a fan of the brand or have been thinking of buying their products, specially their most recent box-like designs.

I'm hoping they keep going, as a supplier for over 30 years, but I have a feeling that the firm may move abroad, again we turn an exporter into an import.

I hope not Brian , one day ill use your services for sure ad I'm always sorting out sealine electrical faults especially Volvo looms relating to edc and evc, I just wish when they were built they had someone who cared for the aftermarket engineers that have to suffer there not so well thought out installations when I'm build . Aside that I do hope the brand continues.
Does anyone have info on how to purchase stock boats at the right price? Would it be the administrator or sealine south coast dealing with what's left over?

Normally it will be the Administrater who will be looking to maximise the return from the inventory, in order to pay the creditors. I assume the Admin will have to approve Sealine South Coast sales, as they are part of the collapsed Sealine business.

I was talking to Ben at South Coast a few days ago. He is dealing with the sales of stock boats on behalf of the administrators. He told me there is only one F48 left available at a serious discount. Once that one has gone there are no more.

Fingers crossed it all comes good. I had my eye on the new F37.....

I remember when "Moonraker" went Bankrupt. I read that someone had paid for a boat in stages,
1st Hull & Deck, 2nd Engines in. He was to pay a final 3rd, (to finish off) when they went into liquidation.
And the liquidator told the buyer that he was just "one of the creditors" and the unfinished boat belonged to the liquidator.
Of course that could not happen today.

Ben told me all the boats were offered through the dealer network but I guess they will be applying a margin. Dare say they'll be cheaper through Sealine as they don't need to put double the margin on them
